Voice of the Experienced (VOTE)
VOTE is a grassroots organization based in Louisiana, led by formerly incarcerated people, their families, and allies. VOTE focuses on restoring civil and human rights for those affected by the criminal justice system through community organizing, policy advocacy, and civic engagement.

VOTE’s initiatives include restoring voting rights, improving access to healthcare, advocating for fair employment and housing policies, and challenging unjust prison labor practices. By empowering those directly impacted, VOTE aims to create systemic change and promote public safety without reliance on mass incarceration.
