Since 2022, Maria Hinds Design has developed the identity for the IDA Documentary Awards, most recently crafting the visuals for the event’s 40th anniversary celebration. Over a six-month campaign, a comprehensive suite of assets was produced to unveil the nominee shortlist, final nominees, and winners across 16 categories. On-screen graphics—featured during the ceremony at the iconic Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles—brought the announcements to life. Motion graphics were produced in collaboration with Andrey Negrón Films.
Social posts announced 145 nominees and 17 winners across 17 categories.
The IDA 39th Documentary Awards were livestreamed globally in 2023 instead of an in-person event.
